I just want to share a shih tzu event that will happen on Aug 15:

There will be a grooming seminar on 15 Aug 2010 at Core 8, Unit 211, AIC Burgundy Empire Tower, ADB Ave., cor. Sapphire & Garnet Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines. Seminar will start from 12:30pm – 6:00pm. This will be great for all shih tzu owners who wants to learn how to groom a shih tzu.  There’s a registration fee of Php400.00.

    thank you for that info superness…but i failed to attend on that seminar…im from olongapo..and i really want to attend your seminar..i have an 11 mos old shih…im just learning everything thru reading on web and watching on you tube…especially the grooming…I want to asked again if there wil be another sched for the ultimate seminar….or for grooming…hoping you would assist me again..

    Pawing is an appeasing gesture. Licking another dog's face is an invitation to play or sign of deference.
    Mounting or standing above another dog by putting front paws on the other dog's back means asserting dominance. It isn't just a male characteristics for females do it too. Mounting is more often related to social status than to sex.
    Panting means that a dog is feeling playful, excited or stressed, or he may simply be hot. A dog with mouth and lips closed is uncertain or appeasing.
    Raised hackles indicate arousal, either because a dog is frightened or is challenging another dog. Smooth hackles show a dog is calm.
    Yawning may indicate anticipation or stress. It increases heart rate and blood flow to the brain. Filling the lungs with oxygen and removing carbon dioxide. In fact, it helps a dog energize his body and gathers his wits.
